1977 Toyota Land Cruiser (40 Series)

On Friday we looked at David’s Travelall, but this truck is the real star. It’s a pristine, nearly all-original Land Cruiser in 653 Olive. I say nearly, because just about the only thing that isn’t stock is the locking rear differential from an 80 series.

I was so impressed by the detail on this machine, even the power steering is original equipment, down to the “Toyoda” cap. I quickly learned that the reason for this is that David is the guy behind Genesis 4x4, which is dedicated to the restoration of old FJs. He’s a passionate guy, and this truck is testament to the long hours it takes to make something right. I only wish the light lasted a bit longer so I could capture more.

Did you know that a woman having a heart attack is more likely to have back or jaw pain than chest or left arm pain? I didn’t - because I’ve never seen a woman having a heart attack. I’ve been trained in CPR and Advanced First Aid by the Red Cross over 15 times in my life, the videos and booklets always have a guy and say the same thing about clutching his chest and/or bicep.
